'Antechamber' Limited Edition Print
Public Body ('Bath of Kings' Triptych)
King for a Day, 2026
In Antechamber, an original artwork by King for a Day, the king is neither ruling nor retreating, but waiting. Seated within a tiled, enclosed space, the figure exists in a private threshold ~ between immersion and emergence, solitude and spectacle. This is the room before the crown is lifted again, where the body returns to itself, unobserved. The surrounding imagery echoes fragments of other selves and other bodies, suggesting memory, reflection, and internal dialogue. As part of the King for a Day narrative, Antechamber honours the inner architecture of masculinity: the quiet rooms where power is rehearsed, questioned, and humanised.
